OWNER'S COMMENTS: Following 100-Day testing in Germany, Wolkenglanz was Champion or Reserve Champion at eight open competitions, scoring 9's on ridability and gaits. Wolkenglanz is the only licensed and approved son of Wolkenstein II standing in the United States. Wolkenstein II, the outstanding dressage sire, was Reserve Champion of his licensing, German Riding Horse Champion and 100-Day Test Champion (139.6 points). Wolkenstein II's dam line produced the Celle stallions Garibaldi I and II, as well as Brentano I and II. His grandsire, Weltmeyer, was Stallion of the Year, Licensing Champion, 100-Day Test Champion (143.96 points) and German National Champion. Wolkenglanz's dam, Bianca (Bolero) is a full sister to two licensed stallions. She produced Celle stallion Cordoba (Cavalier), sire of AHS Elite Stallion Cabalito and FEI dressage star Worley (World Cup). In 2002, Wolkenglanz's first U.S.-born filly, Welkensong, was high scoring horse (82%) at Mid-Ohio Sport Horse I and II. Wolkentyme was chosen as top foal at his inspection and was highly praised for his elastic uphill gaits. In 2004, Wolkenlilly and Wolkenspiel were among the top foals at their inspection and were noted especially for their elegant and modern type. |
